Ingredients
  

For the Topping:
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
For the Toast:
  • 2 slices whole grain bread
  • 1-2 tablespoons salted butter for spreading
  • 2-3 ounces semi-sweet or dark chocolate chopped

Method
 

Directions:
  1. In a mixing bowl, combine the granulated sugar and ground cinnamon. Mix until well blended. Set it aside.
  2. Heat a skillet or frying pan over medium heat. Spread 1 tablespoon of salted butter evenly on one side of each slice of bread. Place the slices butter-side down in the pan.
  3. Cook the bread for about 2-3 minutes until golden brown. Flip and cook the other side for another 2-3 minutes.
  4. Remove the toast from the skillet and sprinkle the chopped chocolate over the top to melt slightly.
  5. Sprinkle the cinnamon sugar mixture over the melted chocolate and serve immediately.

Notes

  • Store cinnamon sugar mix in an airtight container for up to a month.
  • For gluten-free, use gluten-free bread.
