Step-by-Step Instructions:
- Start by cubing your bread slices into bite-sized pieces. Aim for uniform cubes to ensure they cook evenly. You should have about 6 cups of bread cubes total from the three types of bread.
- In a mixing bowl, combine the melted butter, dried parsley, garlic powder, and salt. Whisk them together until everything is well blended.
- Add the cubed bread to the bowl with the seasoning mixture. Use a spatula or your hands to toss the bread until all pieces are well coated in the buttery herb mixture.
- Preheat your air fryer to 375°F (190°C). Once preheated, place the seasoned bread cubes in a single layer in the air fryer basket. You may need to do this in batches if your air fryer isn’t large enough.
- Air fry the croutons for about 8-10 minutes. Shake the basket halfway through to promote even cooking. Keep an eye on them towards the end to ensure they don’t get too dark.
- Once they are golden brown and crispy, remove the croutons from the air fryer and let them cool for a few minutes. They will continue to crisp up as they cool. Now, they are ready to be added to your favorite dishes!
Notes
- Use fresh bread for the best texture and flavor.
- Store croutons in an airtight container at room temperature for up to one week.
- To re-crisp, warm them in the air fryer at 350°F (175°C).
