Ingredients

For the Wings:
  • 1 lb chicken wings, split into flats and drummettes thawed and patted dry
  • 1 Tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp garlic salt or add to taste
  • 1 tsp lemon pepper

Equipment

  • Air Fryer
  • Mixing bowl
  • Tongs
  • Meat thermometer (optional)

Method

Instructions:
  1. Start by splitting your chicken wings into flats and drummettes if they aren’t already. Pat them dry with paper towels to remove excess moisture.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine the chicken wings with olive oil, garlic salt, and lemon pepper. Toss until evenly coated.
  3. Preheat your air fryer to 400°F (200°C) for about 5 minutes.
  4. Place the seasoned chicken wings in the air fryer basket in a single layer. Cook for about 25-30 minutes, flipping halfway through.
  5. Check that the internal temperature reaches 165°F (75°C) to ensure they are fully cooked.
  6. Remove wings from the air fryer and let them rest for a couple of minutes before serving.

Notes

  • For even crispier wings, marinate them in the seasoning mixture for a few hours or overnight.
  • Cook in batches if your air fryer is smaller to avoid overcrowding.
  • Removing moisture from the wings is key to achieving that crispy skin.
  • Experiment with different seasonings like paprika or cayenne pepper for a fun twist!
