Ingredients

  • 250 g shrimp peeled and deveined, pat dry with paper towels
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 3 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • 3 dashes cayenne pepper
  • 1 pinch salt or to taste
  • Chopped parsley for garnishing
  • Lemon wedges for serving

Equipment

  • Air Fryer
  • Mixing bowl
  • Measuring spoons
  • Spatula or tongs
  • Serving plate

Method

  1. Start by patting the peeled and deveined shrimp dry with paper towels.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine the olive oil, minced garlic, honey, cayenne pepper, and salt. Stir well until fully combined.
  3. Add the dried shrimp to the marinade, tossing gently to ensure each piece is evenly coated. Let marinate for about 10 minutes.
  4. Preheat your air fryer to 200°C (390°F) for about 5 minutes.
  5. Place the marinated shrimp in a single layer in the air fryer basket. Air fry for about 6-8 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through.
  6. Once cooked through and slightly caramelized, transfer to a serving plate. Garnish with chopped parsley and serve with lemon wedges.

Notes

  • For the best results, use fresh shrimp rather than frozen for better texture and flavor.
  • Adjust the seasoning according to your taste, reducing honey if you prefer less sweetness.
  • Monitor shrimp closely while cooking, as cooking times may vary based on size and air fryer model.
