Ingredients
  

  • 1.5 pounds white American cheese or Queso Blanco Velveeta
  • 9 ounces chopped green chiles (2 4.5-ounce cans)
  • 1 cup whole milk
  • 1/4 cup pickled jalapeños (chopped)
  • 1/4 cup diced onion
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cumin
  • Cooked chorizo (optional)
  • Corn (optional)
  • Black beans (optional)
  • Pico de gallo (for topping)
  • Fresh chopped cilantro (for garnish)
  • Hot sauce (to taste)

Method
 

  1. Start by gathering all your ingredients. Chop the pickled jalapeños and onion, and if you’re using cooked chorizo, have it ready to go. This will make the cooking process much smoother!
  2. In a medium saucepan over medium heat, add the white American cheese or Queso Blanco Velveeta. Pour in the whole milk and stir gently to combine. Continue stirring until the cheese has melted and the mixture is smooth and creamy.
  3. Once the cheese is melted, add the chopped green chiles, pickled jalapeños, diced onion, butter, and ground cumin. Stir well to incorporate all the flavors, allowing the dip to simmer for a few minutes to meld the tastes together.
  4. If you’re adding cooked chorizo, corn, or black beans, now is the time! Stir them into the dip until everything is evenly distributed. Allow the dip to heat through for another 2-3 minutes.
  5. Transfer your Amazing Queso Blanco Dip to a serving bowl. Top it off with pico de gallo, fresh chopped cilantro, and a drizzle of hot sauce for an added kick. Serve immediately with tortilla chips or your favorite dippers!
