Instructions:
- Step 1: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). This ensures your bars will bake evenly.
- Step 2: Prepare your crust (optional) according to your chosen recipe. Press the crust mixture firmly into the bottom of your baking dish.
- Step 3: In a mixing bowl, mash the ripe bananas until smooth.
- Step 4: In another bowl, combine the cream cheese, sweetener, cornstarch (or almond flour), vanilla extract, and optional cinnamon. Use an electric mixer to blend until smooth and creamy.
- Step 5: Gently fold the mashed bananas into the cream cheese mixture until well combined.
- Step 6: Spread the banana cheesecake filling evenly over the prepared crust in your baking dish. Use a spatula to smooth out the top.
- Step 7: Place the baking dish in the preheated oven and bake for 25-30 minutes, or until the center is set and the edges start to slightly pull away from the sides.
- Step 8: Once baked, remove the dish from the oven and allow it to cool at room temperature. Then, refrigerate for at least 2 hours before slicing into bars.
- Step 9: Once chilled, slice the bars into squares or rectangles. Serve them as is or topped with fresh fruit, whipped cream, or a drizzle of chocolate sauce for an extra treat!
