Ingredients
  

  • 1 small beet peeled and cut into small pieces
  • 1 medium Red Delicious apple cored and cut into small pieces
  • 0.5 pound frozen mixed berries a blend of strawberries, blueberries, and raspberries
  • 0.5 cup water or juice use your favorite juice for added flavor
  • 3-4 cubes ice optional, for a chilled texture

Method
 

  1. Start by peeling and chopping the small beet into small pieces. Core and chop the Red Delicious apple into similar-sized pieces.
  2. In your blender, combine the chopped beet, apple pieces, frozen mixed berries, and water or juice.
  3. Secure the lid on your blender and blend the mixture on high speed until smooth and creamy.
  4. If the smoothie is too thick, add more water or juice until you reach your desired consistency.
  5. Add the ice cubes and blend again until smooth for a refreshing texture.
  6. Pour the smoothie into serving glasses and enjoy immediately for the best taste!

Notes

  • Handle beets carefully as they can stain your cutting board.
  • A ripe banana can add extra sweetness if desired.
