Ingredients

Ingredients
  • 1 cup Mixed Red Berries such as fresh strawberries and frozen cherries
  • 1 small Beet peeled and chopped
  • 1 medium Banana preferably frozen
  • 1 piece Medjool Date pitted
  • 1 tablespoon Raw Cacao Powder
  • 2 teaspoons Coconut Butter
  • 1 teaspoon Lemon Juice fresh
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla Extract
  • 1 cup Non-Dairy Milk such as almond or oat milk
  • 1 scoop Vanilla Protein Powder
  • 1 teaspoon Chia Seeds
  • 1 teaspoon Mesquite Powder
  • 1 teaspoon Maca Powder

Equipment

  • High-speed blender
  • Measuring cups and spoons
  • Cutting board and knife
  • Glass or Jar

Method

Instructions
  1. Start by gathering all your ingredients. Peel and chop the beet into small pieces to make blending easier. If you’re using fresh strawberries, hull them and slice them in half for a smoother blend.
  2. In your high-speed blender, combine the mixed berries, chopped beet, frozen banana, Medjool date, raw cacao powder, coconut butter, lemon juice, vanilla extract, and non-dairy milk.
  3. Next, add the vanilla protein powder, chia seeds, mesquite powder, and maca powder. These ingredients will enhance the nutritional profile of your smoothie.
  4. Blend on high until the mixture is completely smooth and creamy. If the smoothie is too thick, add a little more non-dairy milk until you reach your desired consistency.
  5. Taste your smoothie and adjust the sweetness if necessary. You can add another Medjool date or a splash of maple syrup if you prefer a sweeter flavor.
  6. Pour the smoothie into a glass or jar, and if you like, sprinkle a few extra chia seeds or a dusting of cacao powder on top for presentation. Enjoy your Berry Beet Velvet Smoothie immediately for the best flavor and texture!

Notes

  • For a thicker smoothie, add more frozen banana or berries.
  • Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 24 hours.
  • Add a second scoop of protein powder for an extra protein boost.
