Ingredients
  

For the Dip:
  • 18 oz cream cheese softened
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 2 teaspoons Old Bay seasoning
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground mustard
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • Tabasco or hot sauce a couple shakes
  • 1/3 cup green onions thinly chopped
  • 1 cup sharp cheddar cheese freshly grated, divided
  • 1 cup mozzarella cheese freshly grated, divided
  • 16 oz lump crab meat or two 6 oz. cans, drained
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1/2 cup panko breadcrumbs
  • Crackers, pita chips, chips, bread, or vegetables for dipping

Method
 

Directions:
  1. Step 1: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Step 2: In a large mixing bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, sour cream, and mayonnaise. Mix until smooth and creamy.
  3. Step 3: Add Worcestershire sauce, lemon juice, Old Bay seasoning, ground mustard, garlic powder, and salt. Mix well.
  4. Step 4: Gently fold in lump crab meat, chopped green onions, and half of each cheese.
  5. Step 5: Transfer to a greased baking dish. Melt butter and mix with panko breadcrumbs, sprinkling over the dip. Add remaining cheeses on top.
  6. Step 6: Bake for 25-30 minutes until hot and bubbly.
  7. Step 7: Let cool slightly, serve with dippers.

Notes

  • Use softened cream cheese to avoid lumps.
  • Gently fold in crab for larger chunks.
  • Keep an eye on breadcrumbs to prevent burning.
  • Adjust spice level with hot sauce to taste.
