Preparation Steps:
- Start by thawing the lobster tails if they are frozen. This can be done in the refrigerator overnight or by placing them in a sealed bag and submerging them in cold water for about 30 minutes. Once thawed, use kitchen scissors to cut down the top of the lobster shell, stopping just before the tail fin. Gently pull apart the shell to expose the lobster meat.
- Season the exposed lobster meat with salt and cracked pepper to taste. This will enhance the natural flavors of the lobster.
- Preheat your oven’s broiler to high. This will ensure that your lobster tails cook evenly and develop a beautiful golden color.
- In a medium-sized saucepan, heat 1/4 cup of unsalted butter over medium heat. Add the crushed garlic and sauté until fragrant, about 1-2 minutes. Remove the saucepan from heat and stir in the fresh lemon juice.
- Using a brush, generously apply the melted garlic butter mixture over the lobster meat. Make sure to coat it well for maximum flavor.
- Place the lobster tails on a baking sheet and broil them for about 8-10 minutes or until the meat is opaque and has an internal temperature of 145°F. Be careful not to overcook them, as this can make the meat tough.
- Once cooked, remove the lobster tails from the oven and drizzle with the remaining melted butter. Garnish with chopped parsley and serve with lemon slices on the side for an extra zing.
Notes
- Store any leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 2 days.
- Reheat gently in the oven or on the stovetop with a little extra butter to keep them moist.
- For a dairy-free option, substitute butter with a plant-based alternative.
