Ingredients

  • 3 large boneless chicken breasts (can use frozen)
  • 1 jar spaghetti sauce (24-oz)
  • 1 Tbsp minced garlic
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning
  • 3 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 24 pieces slider buns
  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning
  • 1/2 cup grated parmesan cheese

Equipment

  • Large skillet
  • Baking dish
  • Oven
  • Knife
  • Meat thermometer

Method

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Thaw frozen chicken if needed, season with salt and pepper, and cook in a skillet for 6-7 minutes on each side until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (75°C). Remove and slice the chicken.
  2. In the same skillet, sauté minced garlic until fragrant, then add spaghetti sauce and Italian seasoning. Let it simmer for 5 minutes.
  3. Cut slider buns in half and place the bottom halves in a greased baking dish. Layer sliced chicken, marinara sauce, and shredded mozzarella cheese on top, then place the top halves of the buns over the cheese.
  4. Melt butter and mix in garlic powder and Italian seasoning. Brush this mixture over the tops of the slider buns.
  5. Sprinkle grated parmesan on top, cover with foil, and bake for 15 minutes. Remove foil and bake for another 10 minutes until cheese is bubbly and tops are golden brown.
  6. Let the sliders cool slightly, then slice and serve hot.

Notes

  • For a gluten-free option, use gluten-free slider buns and sauce.
  • Substitute mozzarella with dairy-free cheese for a dairy-free version.
  • To prevent sogginess, lightly toast the slider buns before assembling.
