Chunky Monkey Protein Smoothie (Vegan!)

This Chunky Monkey Protein Smoothie is a delicious blend of banana and peanut butter, enhanced with rich cacao flavors!

Ingredients
  

For the Smoothie:
  • 1 cup soy milk creamy base
  • 1 very ripe banana (frozen if possible)
  • 2 Tbsp. peanut butter (creamy & natural)
  • 2 Tbsp. cacao powder (or cocoa powder)
  • 1 Tbsp. pure maple syrup a touch of sweetness
Optional Add-ins:
  • 1 tsp. vanilla extract for extra flavor depth
  • 1/8 tsp. almond extract adds a hint of nuttiness
  • 1 tsp. maca powder a superfood boost
  • Ice cubes for a chilled smoothie

Equipment

  • High-speed blender
  • Measuring cups and spoons
  • Smoothie cup or glass

Method
 

Instructions:
  1. Gather all the ingredients listed above. If using a frozen banana, ensure it’s peeled and cut into chunks.
  2. In your high-speed blender, combine the soy milk and the frozen banana. Blend on high until smooth and creamy.
  3. Add in the creamy peanut butter, cacao powder, and pure maple syrup. Include any optional ingredients if desired.
  4. Blend everything together until the mixture is completely smooth. For a thicker smoothie, add a few ice cubes and blend again.
  5. Taste your smoothie and adjust sweetness with more maple syrup if needed.
  6. Pour the smoothie into your favorite cup or glass. Garnish with chopped bananas, a sprinkle of cacao powder, or granola. Enjoy immediately!

Notes

  • Use very ripe bananas for optimal sweetness and creaminess.
  • Customize with your favorite nut butter for a twist.
  • For meal prep, prepare ingredients ahead of time, but blend fresh for best results.
