Ingredients

  • 1 cup Mayonnaise
  • ½ cup Buttermilk
  • 1 package Ranch Dressing Mix (1-oz)
  • ½ tsp Black Pepper
  • ½ tsp Garlic Powder
  • ½ tsp Onion Powder
  • ½ tsp Paprika
  • ¼ tsp Cayenne Pepper

Equipment

  • Mixing bowl
  • Whisk or spoon
  • Measuring cups and spoons
  • Storage Container

Method

  1. Start by gathering all your ingredients on the counter. This will make the process smoother and more organized.
  2. In a medium mixing bowl, add the mayonnaise and buttermilk. Using a whisk or a spoon, mix them together until well combined and smooth.
  3. Next, open the ranch dressing mix and add it to the mayonnaise and buttermilk mixture. Stir until it’s fully incorporated.
  4. Add the black pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, and cayenne pepper. Mix well to ensure that all the spices are evenly distributed throughout the dressing.
  5. Give your dressing a taste. If you prefer a little more spice, feel free to add a pinch more cayenne. If it needs a bit more tang, consider adding a splash more buttermilk.
  6. Cover the bowl or transfer the dressing to an airtight container. Refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to allow the flavors to meld beautifully.
  7. Once chilled, your Copycat Outback Ranch Dressing is ready to serve! Drizzle it over salads, use it as a dip for veggies, or slather it on your favorite sandwiches. Enjoy your homemade creation!

Notes

  • Store your dressing in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to one week.
  • Mix well before serving if separation occurs.
  • Feel free to customize with fresh herbs or spices to suit your taste.
