For the Taco Version:
  • 1 1/2 tablespoons Homemade Taco Seasoning

Method
 

Preparation Steps:
  1. Begin by draining and rinsing the can of chickpeas in a colander. This removes excess sodium and helps create a better texture. Once rinsed, use paper towels to pat the chickpeas dry thoroughly.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine the chickpeas with olive oil, garlic, salt, paprika, and pepper. Toss everything together until the chickpeas are well-coated.
  3. Preheat your air fryer to 400°F (200°C). Spread the seasoned chickpeas in a single layer in the air fryer basket. Air fry for about 12-15 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through, until golden brown and crispy.
  4. For the cheesy version, after seasoning, add Parmesan cheese and toss again to coat. Air fry as described for the classic flavor.
  5. For the taco-flavored chickpeas, replace garlic, paprika, and pepper with taco seasoning. Toss well and air fry as above.
