For the Cookies:

  • 1/3 cup white sugar For a touch of sweetness.
  • 1/2 cup butter softened
  • 1 large egg Acts as a binding agent.
  • 2-3/4 cups Bisquick Provides a convenient base for the cookies.
  • 2 tsp vanilla Enhances the overall flavor.
  • 1 cup dark chocolate chips For that rich chocolatey goodness.
  • 1 cup chopped dry roasted hazelnuts Adds a delightful crunch.

Equipment

  • Mixing bowls
  • Measuring cups and spoons
  • Cookie Sheet
  • Parchment paper
  • Spatula

Method

Instructions
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). This will ensure that your cookies bake evenly.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the softened butter, brown sugar, and white sugar. Using a hand mixer or stand mixer, beat them together until the mixture is light and fluffy.
  3. Add the egg and vanilla extract to the butter and sugar mixture. Beat until fully incorporated.
  4. Gradually add the Bisquick to the mixture. Stir until just combined. Be careful not to overmix; you want your cookies to be tender.
  5. Gently fold in the dark chocolate chips and chopped hazelnuts until evenly distributed throughout the dough.
  6. Using a cookie scoop or tablespoon, drop rounded balls of dough onto a parchment-lined cookie sheet, leaving space between each cookie. Bake in the preheated oven for 10-12 minutes or until the edges are lightly golden.
  7. Remove the cookies from the oven and allow them to cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.

Notes

  • Allow cookies to cool completely before storing them.
  • Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to a week.
  • For longer storage, freeze in a freezer-safe bag for up to three months.
