Ingredients
  

  • 1 pound cod Cut into 3 or 4 fillets
  • 1 tablespoon avocado oil
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 3/4 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon dried parsley
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground turmeric
  • 1/2 teaspoon sea salt Adjust to taste
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper

Equipment

  • Aluminum foil
  • Mixing bowl
  • Fish spatula

Method
 

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Line your baking sheet with aluminum foil or parchment paper.
  3. In a mixing bowl, combine the avocado oil, paprika, garlic powder, dried parsley, ground turmeric, sea salt, and black pepper. Stir until well mixed.
  4. Place the cod fillets on the prepared baking sheet. Brush or drizzle the seasoning mixture evenly over each fillet.
  5. Place the baking sheet in the preheated oven and bake for 12-15 minutes, or until the fish flakes easily with a fork.
  6. Once cooked, remove the cod from the oven and let it rest for a minute. Serve it warm.

Notes

  • Swap avocado oil for olive oil for a different flavor profile.
  • Add lemon zest or a squeeze of fresh lemon juice before serving for a refreshing touch.
  • Store leftover cooked cod in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
