  • 1 teaspoon ground ginger
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch for sauce thickening

Method
 

Instructions:
  1. Step 1: Prepare the Beef - Start by slicing the beef sirloin or flank steak against the grain into thin strips, about 1/4 inch thick.
  2. Step 2: Season the Beef - In a mixing bowl, combine the sliced beef with salt, black pepper, and cornstarch. Toss until evenly coated.
  3. Step 3: Make the Sauce - In a separate bowl, whisk together brown sugar, soy sauce, minced garlic, and ground ginger. Add sweet chili sauce if desired.
  4. Step 4: Cook the Beef - Heat olive oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat. Add the seasoned beef and sear for 2-3 minutes.
  5. Step 5: Add the Sauce - Pour the sauce over the beef, stir to combine, and let it simmer for another 2-3 minutes until thickened.
