  • 2 1/2 to 3 tbsp sweetener of choice maple syrup, honey, agave, or stevia
  • 1 tsp pure vanilla extract
  • 1/8 tsp salt
  • 2 tbsp nut butter of choice optional
  • optional additions a scoop of protein powder or an overripe frozen banana

Equipment

  • Blender
  • Measuring cups and spoons
  • Spoon
  • Glass or bowl

Method

Instructions
  1. Step 1: Prepare the Ingredients. Start by gathering all of your ingredients. Make sure your avocado is ripe for the best flavor and creaminess. If you’re using a frozen banana, peel and slice it beforehand.
  2. Step 2: Blend. In your blender, combine the avocado, milk of choice, cocoa powder, sweetener, vanilla extract, and salt. If you’re adding nut butter or protein powder, include it at this stage.
  3. Step 3: Blend Until Smooth. Blend on high speed until all the ingredients are well combined and the mixture is creamy. Scrape down the sides of the blender as needed to ensure everything is incorporated.
  4. Step 4: Taste and Adjust. Give your Healthy Chocolate Frosty a taste. If you prefer it sweeter, add a little more sweetener and blend again. Adjust the thickness by adding more milk if necessary.
  5. Step 5: Serve and Enjoy! Pour your frosty creation into a glass or bowl. You can top it with additional nut butter, cocoa nibs, or sliced bananas for a decorative touch.

Notes

  • Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 24 hours.
  • Before serving leftovers, stir or blend again to restore creaminess.
  • For future use, freeze in ice cube trays and blend with milk when ready to enjoy.
