For the Fudge:
  • 1/2 cup cocoa powder
  • 1 cup coconut butter or almond butter
  • 4 tbsp pure maple syrup or honey or stevia to taste
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp pure vanilla extract (optional)
  • 1 pinch cinnamon (optional)
  • as desired optional add-ins like chia seeds, shredded coconut, chopped walnuts, or mini chocolate chips

Equipment

  • Mixing bowls
  • Spatula
  • 9x5 inch loaf pan
  • Parchment paper
  • Measuring cups and spoons

Method

Instructions:
  1. Step 1: Prepare Your Pan. Line your loaf pan (or square pan) with parchment paper, leaving some overhang for easy removal later.
  2. Step 2: Mix the Base. In a large mixing bowl, combine the coconut butter (or almond butter) and ripe bananas. Mash until smooth.
  3. Step 3: Add the Sweetness. Stir in the cocoa powder, maple syrup (or honey), salt, and vanilla extract. Mix until smooth and creamy.
  4. Step 4: Customize Your Fudge. Add optional ingredients like cinnamon, chia seeds, or mini chocolate chips, and fold gently into the mixture.
  5. Step 5: Pour and Set. Transfer the fudge mixture into your prepared pan, spreading it evenly and smoothing the top.
  6. Step 6: Chill and Enjoy. Refrigerate for at least 2 hours until set, then lift out using the parchment paper and cut into squares.

Notes

  • Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to one week.
