Ingredients

  • 1 cup dehydrated onion adds flavor
  • 1 cup water divided
  • 1 cube beef bouillon
  • 1 pound ground beef choose quality beef
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt for seasoning
  • 12 pieces dinner rolls soft and fluffy
  • 1/2 cup yellow mustard for tanginess
  • 12 slices dill pickle hamburger

Equipment

  • Large skillet
  • Mixing bowl
  • Spatula or Wooden Spoon
  • Knife and cutting board

Method

  1. Begin by rehydrating the dehydrated onions. In a small bowl, combine the dehydrated onions with 1/2 cup of water and let them sit for about 10 minutes until they are soft and plump.
  2. In a large skillet over medium heat, add the ground beef. Break it up with a spatula and cook until browned and fully cooked through, about 5-7 minutes. Drain any excess fat if necessary.
  3. Once the beef is cooked, add the rehydrated onions, the remaining 1/2 cup of water, and the beef bouillon cube. Stir well to combine. Let this mixture simmer for about 5 minutes until the flavors meld together.
  4. After simmering, sprinkle in the salt and mix well. Taste and adjust seasoning if necessary.
  5. While the beef mixture is simmering, slice your dinner rolls in half. Arrange them on a serving platter or baking sheet with the cut sides facing up.
  6. Spoon a generous amount of the beef mixture onto the bottom half of each roll. Top with a squirt of yellow mustard and a dill pickle slice before placing the top half of the roll on each slider.
  7. Your Homemade Krystal Burgers are now ready! Serve them warm and watch your guests devour these tasty sliders.
