Ingredients
  

  • 4 large Potatoes starchy, like Russets
  • 1 cup Oil vegetable or canola
  • 1 lb Frozen French Fries or homemade fries
  • 3 tablespoons Peri-Peri Seasoning homemade or store-bought

Method
 

  1. Peel the potatoes and cut them into your desired fry shape. Soak in water for 30 minutes for extra crunch.
  2. Heat oil in a large pot or deep fryer over medium-high heat until hot.
  3. Add the soaked and dried potato fries in batches to the hot oil and fry for 5-6 minutes until golden brown and crispy. Drain on paper towels.
  4. In a mixing bowl, toss the hot fries with peri-peri seasoning until well coated.
  5. Serve immediately while hot and crispy with your favorite dipping sauces.

Notes

  • For a healthier option, bake the fries at 425°F (220°C) for 25-30 minutes instead of frying.
