Start by gathering all your ingredients. Measure out 3 cups of Uncle Ben's converted white rice and rinse it under cold water until the water runs clear.
Lightly grease the interior of your crock pot with butter or cooking spray.
Pour the rinsed rice into the crock pot. Next, add 6 cups of water.
Sprinkle in some salt and pepper to taste.
Give the rice a quick stir to combine everything evenly. Then, cover the crock pot with its lid.
Cook the rice on low for approximately 4 to 6 hours or on high for about 2 to 3 hours.
Once the cooking time is up, check the rice for doneness. If it's tender and all the liquid has been absorbed, use a spatula to fluff the rice gently.
