Method

Instructions
  1. Step 1: Gather your ingredients and equipment.
  2. Step 2: In your blender, combine 1 cup of rolled oats and 4 cups of water. Add salt or sweetener if desired. Blend on high for about 30-45 seconds until smooth.
  3. Step 3: Place a fine mesh strainer or nut milk bag over a large bowl or pitcher. Pour the blended mixture through the strainer to separate the liquid from the oat pulp.
  4. Step 4: Transfer the strained oat milk into a clean storage container. Seal tightly and store in the refrigerator.
  5. Step 5: Shake before use, as oat milk can separate.

Notes

  • Don’t blend the oats for too long to avoid a slimy texture.
  • Experiment with sweeteners and flavors to find your perfect combination.
  • Save leftover oat pulp for baking or smoothies for added fiber.
  • For creamier oat milk, soak oats for 30 minutes before blending.
