Ingredients

  • 1 pound shredded white cheddar cheese
  • 1 jar diced pimentos 4-oz, drained
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1 Tbsp finely chopped garlic
  • 2 jalapeos seeded and finely chopped
  • ½ cup chopped pecans
  • ½ cup mayonnaise
  • 1 Tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 3 dashes hot sauce optional
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Equipment

  • Mixing bowl
  • Spatula or spoon
  • Knife and cutting board
  • Measuring cups and spoons
  • Food processor (optional)

Method

  1. Begin by gathering all your ingredients. Drain the jar of diced pimentos and set them aside. Seed and finely chop the jalapeos, and mince the garlic.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the shredded white cheddar cheese and the drained pimentos. Use a spatula to mix these two ingredients until well combined.
  3. Next, add the onion powder, finely chopped garlic, and chopped jalapeos to the cheese mixture. Stir well to ensure all the ingredients are evenly distributed.
  4. Now it’s time to fold in the chopped pecans. These will add a lovely texture and flavor to the Jalapeo Pimento Cheese.
  5. Add the mayonnaise and Worcestershire sauce, mixing until everything is creamy and well-blended. If you’re a fan of heat, this is the time to add the hot sauce as well.
  6. Finally, taste your mixture and season with salt and pepper according to your preference. Mix again to combine.
  7. Transfer your Jalapeo Pimento Cheese to an airtight container and let it chill in the refrigerator for at least an hour. This helps the flavors meld together beautifully. Serve with your favorite crackers, bread, or fresh veggies, and enjoy!

Notes

  • For a smoother consistency, use a food processor to blend the ingredients.
  • Let it chill for 4-6 hours for the best flavor development.
  • Store in an airtight container to maintain freshness.
