Ingredients

  • 2 tablespoons White Miso look for unpasteurized for best flavor
  • 2 tablespoons Tahini high-quality
  • 3 tablespoons Fresh Lemon Juice freshly squeezed
  • 2 tablespoons Rice Vinegar unseasoned
  • 2 teaspoons Pure Maple Syrup natural sweetener
  • 1 tablespoon Water to thin the dressing, if necessary

Equipment

  • Mixing bowl
  • Whisk or fork
  • Measuring spoons
  • Storage Container

Method

  1. Gather all the ingredients listed in the shopping guide for an efficient preparation process.
  2. In a medium mixing bowl, add 2 tablespoons of white miso and 2 tablespoons of tahini. These two ingredients form the creamy base of your dressing.
  3. Pour in 3 tablespoons of fresh lemon juice and 2 tablespoons of unseasoned rice vinegar. The acidity from these ingredients will brighten the flavors.
  4. Add 2 teaspoons of pure maple syrup to the mixture. This will add a subtle sweetness that balances out the savory elements.
  5. Using a whisk or fork, mix all the ingredients together until smooth. If the dressing is too thick, add 1 tablespoon of water to thin it out to your desired consistency.
  6. Taste your dressing and adjust if necessary. You can add more lemon juice for acidity, more maple syrup for sweetness, or a little extra miso for a bolder flavor.
  7. Transfer the dressing into a storage container or serve immediately over your favorite dishes. If storing, keep it in the refrigerator for up to a week.

Notes

  • Always use fresh lemon juice for the brightest flavor; bottled juice can taste flat.
  • Ensure your tahini is well-mixed, as it can separate in the jar.
  • Don’t skip the maple syrup; it balances the saltiness of the miso.
