Instructions:
- Step 1: Preheat the Oven: Start by preheating your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Step 2: Melt the Chocolate and Butter: In a medium saucepan over low heat, combine the coarsely chopped unsweetened chocolate and 3/4 cup of unsalted butter. Stir continuously until melted and smooth. Remove from heat and let it cool slightly.
- Step 3: Mix the Brownie Batter: In a large mixing bowl, combine the melted chocolate mixture with 1 1/4 cups of sugar. Whisk until well combined. Add in the 3 large eggs, one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Stir in 1 teaspoon of pure vanilla extract and 1/4 teaspoon of salt.
- Step 4: Add the Flour: Gently fold in 1 cup of all-purpose flour until just combined.
- Step 5: Incorporate Ferrero Rocher: Gently fold in the halved Ferrero Rocher candies.
- Step 6: Bake the Brownies: Line an 8x8 inch baking pan with parchment paper and pour the brownie batter into the prepared pan. Spread it evenly and bake for 25-30 minutes.
- Step 7: Prepare the Nutella Frosting: In a mixing bowl, beat together 1/4 cup of softened unsalted butter, 1/3 cup of Nutella, and 1/2 teaspoon of pure vanilla extract. Gradually add in 1 1/2 cups of confectioners' sugar and mix until smooth.
- Step 8: Frost the Brownies: Once the brownies are baked and cooled slightly, spread the Nutella frosting evenly over the top.
- Step 9: Slice and Serve: Allow the brownies to cool completely in the pan before slicing into squares.
