Directions
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the softened unsalted butter and creamy peanut butter. Using an electric mixer, beat them together on medium speed until the mixture is smooth and well combined.
- Gradually add the powdered sugar to the creamed mixture. Mix on low speed to prevent the sugar from flying everywhere. Once incorporated, increase the speed to medium and beat until fluffy.
- Add the salt, vanilla extract, and heavy whipping cream to the frosting mixture. Beat again on medium speed until everything is perfectly blended and the frosting is light and airy.
- If your frosting is too thick, add an additional tablespoon of heavy whipping cream at a time until you achieve your desired consistency. If it's too thin, add more powdered sugar.
- Always taste your frosting before using it. If you want it sweeter, feel free to add a little more powdered sugar; if you want more peanut butter flavor, add a spoonful more of creamy peanut butter.
Notes
- Store leftover frosting in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to one week.
- Let refrigerated frosting come to room temperature before using.
- Rewhip with more heavy cream if it’s too thick after refrigeration.
