Ingredients
  

  • 3 tablespoons Oil (vegetable or canola)
  • 2 cloves Garlic (minced)
  • 2 cans Pinto Beans (drained and rinsed)
  • 1/2 teaspoon Ground Cumin

Method
 

  1. Heat the oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
  2. Add the minced garlic and sauté for about 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
  3. Drain and rinse the pinto beans, then add them to the skillet and stir well.
  4. Sprinkle in the ground cumin and stir to incorporate.
  5. Begin to mash the beans to your desired consistency.
  6. Cook the beans for 5-7 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  7. Taste the beans and adjust seasoning if necessary.

  • Reheat gently in a skillet; add water if needed to loosen.
