Start by combining the warm water, sugar, and active dry yeast in a mixing bowl. Let it sit for about 5-10 minutes until it becomes frothy.
Add the olive oil and salt to the yeast mixture. Gradually stir in the all-purpose flour until a soft dough forms.
Lightly flour your work surface and knead the dough for about 1-2 minutes until it becomes smooth and elastic.
Place the dough in a lightly greased bowl, cover it with a clean kitchen towel, and let it rise in a warm place for about 30 minutes.
While your dough rises, preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
Once the dough has risen, punch it down gently and transfer it to your floured work surface. Roll it out into a rectangle about 1/2 inch thick. Cut the dough into strips about 1 inch wide.
Place the breadstick strips onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper, leaving space between each stick.
Melt 2 tablespoons of butter and brush it generously over the breadsticks. Sprinkle the garlic salt, crushed rosemary, and grated Parmesan cheese on top.
Bake your breadsticks in the preheated oven for about 12-15 minutes, or until they are golden brown.
Once baked, remove them from the oven and brush the remaining tablespoon of melted butter over the top. Let them cool before serving.
