Soy Glazed Salmon Instructions
- In a mixing bowl, combine the soy sauce, oyster sauce, brown sugar, sesame oil, and red pepper flakes. Whisk these ingredients together until the brown sugar has completely dissolved, creating a smooth glaze.
- Place your salmon fillet on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper or aluminum foil. Pour the marinade over the salmon, ensuring it is evenly coated. Allow it to marinate for at least 15 minutes to absorb the flavors.
- While the salmon is marinating, preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). This temperature will ensure the salmon cooks evenly and develops a beautiful glaze.
- Once the oven is ready, place the marinated salmon in the oven. Bake for about 12-15 minutes, depending on the thickness of the fillet. The salmon should be opaque and flake easily with a fork when it's done.
- After removing the salmon from the oven, let it rest for a couple of minutes. Sprinkle white sesame seeds and chopped parsley on top for a fresh and attractive presentation. Serve the salmon warm, drizzled with any remaining glaze from the baking sheet.
Notes
- For best flavor, marinate the salmon for up to an hour if time allows.
- Check the internal temperature; it should reach 145°F (63°C) to avoid dryness.
- Grilling is a great alternative; just ensure to oil the grill grates.
