Ingredients

For the Latte:
  • 2 cups milk of your choice (dairy or dairy-free)
  • 4 Tbsp sugar-free caramel sauce
  • 1 Tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 cup espresso or strong brewed coffee
For the Whipped Cream:
  • 1 cup heavy whipping cream (chilled)
  • 3 Tbsp confectioners sugar (sugar-free if desired)
  • 1 pinch salt
  • 1 Tsp vanilla extract (for the whipped cream)
  • to taste Golden sugar (for garnish, optional)
  • to taste Caramel Sauce (for drizzling)

Equipment

  • Espresso machine
  • Milk frother
  • Mixing bowl
  • Whisk or electric mixer
  • Measuring cups and spoons
  • Serving glass or mug

Method

Directions:
  1. Start by brewing 1 cup of your favorite espresso or strong coffee. If you don’t have an espresso machine, a French press or a drip coffee maker will work just fine.
  2. In a saucepan, heat 2 cups of milk over medium heat. Stir occasionally to prevent it from scorching. Once it's hot (but not boiling), remove it from the heat.
  3. Stir in 4 tablespoons of sugar-free caramel sauce and 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract into the heated milk. Mix well until everything is combined and smooth.
  4. In a mixing bowl, combine 1 cup of chilled heavy whipping cream, 3 tablespoons of confectioners sugar, a pinch of salt, and 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract. Using a whisk or an electric mixer, whip the mixture until soft peaks form.
  5. In a large mug, pour the brewed espresso or strong coffee, then add the caramel-infused milk mixture. Stir gently to combine.
  6. Generously dollop the whipped cream on top of your latte. Drizzle additional sugar-free caramel sauce over the whipped cream and sprinkle with golden sugar if desired.
  7. Take a moment to admire your creation before diving in. Sip slowly and enjoy the rich, sweet flavors of your homemade Sugar Free Caramel Latte!

Notes

  • Store leftover latte in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 2 days.
  • Reheat gently on the stovetop over low heat, stirring occasionally.
  • Whipped cream is best made fresh, but can be stored separately for up to 24 hours.
