Ingredients
  

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1 tablespoon granulated white sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 2 cups milk
  • 1/4 cup canola or vegetable oil
  • 2 large eggs lightly beaten

Method
 

  1. Preheat your waffle iron according to the manufacturer's instructions.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, baking powder, sugar, and salt.
  3. In another bowl, combine the milk, canola or vegetable oil, and lightly beaten eggs. Whisk until well blended.
  4. Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients. Gently mix until just combined.
  5. Once the waffle iron is hot, lightly grease it and pour the batter onto the hot waffle iron. Cook until golden brown and crispy.
  6. Carefully remove the waffles from the iron and serve warm with your favorite toppings.

Notes

  • Try using almond milk or oat milk for a dairy-free option.
  • Substitute melted butter for oil for a richer flavor.
  • Freeze leftover waffles for easy reheating later!
