Ingredients
  

  • 4 cups Chex cereal
  • 4 cups oyster crackers
  • 4 cups Cheez-Its
  • 4 cups butter spindle pretzels
  • ½ cup canola oil
  • ¼ cup taco seasoning mix adjust to taste; start with 1/8 cup for milder flavor

Method
 

  1. Preheat your oven to 250°F (120°C).
  2. In a large mixing bowl, add the Chex cereal, oyster crackers, Cheez-Its, and butter spindle pretzels. Gently toss them together until they are well mixed.
  3. In a separate small bowl, whisk together the canola oil and taco seasoning mix. Adjust seasoning to taste.
  4. Pour the oil and seasoning mixture over the dry ingredients in your large bowl. Mix everything together until well coated.
  5. Spread the mixture evenly onto a baking sheet. Bake for about 30 minutes, stirring every 10 minutes for even toasting.
  6. Once golden and fragrant, remove from the oven and let cool completely before serving or storing.
