Ingredients
  

For the Chocolate Base:
  • 2 tablespoons granulated sugar
  • 1 heaping tablespoon cocoa powder
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 2 tablespoons milk any percentage
  • 1/8 teaspoon vanilla extract optional
For the Milkshake:
  • 1 1/2 cups vanilla ice cream about 3 scoops
  • 1/2 to 3/4 cup milk any percentage
  • to taste Whipped cream optional

Method:
  1. In a small saucepan over medium heat, combine the granulated sugar, cocoa powder, butter, and 2 tablespoons of milk. Stir until smooth. Remove from heat and let it cool slightly.
  2. In your blender, add the cooled chocolate mixture along with the vanilla ice cream and 1/2 cup of milk. Blend until smooth, adjusting milk for desired thickness.
  3. Taste the milkshake and add more sugar or chocolate syrup if needed. Blend again to incorporate.
  4. Pour into tall glasses, top with whipped cream and chocolate syrup if desired. Serve immediately.

  • For a richer taste, consider whole milk instead of low-fat options.
