Ingredients

  • 2 cups frozen spinach packed with vitamins A, C, and K
  • 1 cup frozen pineapple chunks adds tropical sweetness
  • 1 cup frozen mango chunks adds creaminess and sweetness
  • 1 medium ripe banana peeled and frozen in chunks
  • 1 cup berries optional, choose your favorite
  • 1 cup milk any type you prefer
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract enhances flavor
  • Sweetener to taste (sugar, honey, etc.)

Equipment

  • High-speed blender
  • Measuring cups
  • Spatula
  • Glass or mason jar

Method

  1. Start by assembling all your ingredients. Make sure the spinach, pineapple, mango, and banana are frozen for that refreshing chill.
  2. In your high-speed blender, add the frozen spinach, pineapple, mango, and banana first. This will help create a smooth blend.
  3. Next, pour in your choice of milk. This will help everything mix together easily and create that creamy texture.
  4. Add the vanilla extract and your preferred sweetener. Start with a small amount, and you can always add more later to suit your taste.
  5. Blend on high until all ingredients are well combined and you achieve a smooth, creamy consistency. If the mixture is too thick, you can add a splash more milk.
  6. Give your smoothie a taste. If it needs more sweetness, add a little more sweetener and blend again.
  7. Pour your Tropical Green Smoothie into a glass or mason jar. If you're feeling fancy, you can garnish it with a slice of fruit or some chia seeds on top. Enjoy immediately for the best flavor and texture!

Notes

  • For a thicker smoothie, add more frozen fruit or a tablespoon of chia seeds.
  • Consider using fresh fruits when in season for a flavor boost.
  • Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 24 hours, but shake before drinking.
