Instructions:
- Step 1: Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C). A hot oven is crucial for the biscuits to rise and develop a golden crust.
- Step 2: In a large mixing bowl, add the self-rising flour and heavy whipping cream. Using a wooden spoon or spatula, gently mix the ingredients until a dough forms. Be careful not to overmix; it’s okay if the dough is a bit sticky.
- Step 3: Turn the dough out onto a lightly floured surface. Knead it gently for about 30 seconds to a minute, just until it comes together.
- Step 4: Using your hands, pat the dough into a rectangle about 1-inch thick.
- Step 5: Use a biscuit cutter or a floured glass to cut out biscuits from the dough. Place them on your prepared baking sheet, leaving a little space in between each biscuit.
- Step 6: Bake in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes, or until the biscuits are golden brown on top.
- Step 7: Once baked, remove the biscuits from the oven and let them cool slightly before serving. They’re best enjoyed warm.
