Instructions:
- Step 1: Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C) to ensure your crescent rolls will bake evenly and reach that perfect golden-brown color.
- Step 2: Open the package of crescent rolls and unroll the dough onto your baking sheet. If you have the full sheet dough, simply press it into a rectangle, making sure to seal any perforations.
- Step 3: Bake the crescent roll base in the preheated oven for about 12-15 minutes or until it is golden brown and fully cooked. Once done, remove it from the oven and allow it to cool completely.
- Step 4: In a mixing bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, sour cream, chopped dill, and chives. Mix until smooth and well combined. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
- Step 5: While the dough is baking, chop your assorted veggies into bite-sized pieces. Feel free to use any combination you like, depending on what you have on hand.
- Step 6: Once the crescent roll base is cooled, spread the cream cheese mixture evenly over the top. Then, sprinkle the chopped veggies generously on top of the creamy layer.
- Step 7: Using a sharp knife, cut the assembled pizza into squares or triangles. Serve immediately, or refrigerate until ready to serve. Enjoy the fresh flavors!
Notes
- Use reduced-fat cream cheese and light sour cream to cut down on calories.
- Opt for a thinner layer of cream cheese mixture to decrease fat content.
- Increase the amount of veggies for a more nutrient-dense appetizer.
